If there’s one thing I will give lockdown it’s been the time to sit back and take stock. What we can’t do right now gives us drive to plan for tomorrow. I’ve been trying to embrace the sea more and more over the last few years, spending less time in the freshwater lakes of the mountains and more time in the salty air of the South of England where I grew up. The tides here are pretty ferocious and I’m enjoying learning more than how to read the tide timetable for my swims. I have embarked on a new journey to gain skills, new qualifications and a deeper knowledge of that huge expanse of water out there, my first rung on a slightly different ladder.
