The fouta is a piece of thin patterned cotton fabric originating from Tunisian and widely using in many Mediterranean countries. Popular with both men and women, they were used to cover the body while at the public baths. Foutas are widely used today around the world as Turkish bath towels (hammam towels) or even beach towels. Due to their close weave, they are very lightweight and dry quickly. Ideal for outdoor swimming adventures!
