KYFFIN IN VENICE - DRAWN TO THE LIGHT

These workshops formed part of the educational programme for the 'Kyffin in Venice - Drawn to the light" exhibition at Oriel Ynys Mon in 2013 / 2014, funded by the Arts Council of Wales. 

 

Working with young people from local special school, Ysgol y Bont, over four weeks, I introduced them to the concepts of pinhole photography. They constructed their own cameras, took inspiration from the landscape surrounding the gallery to compose their own images and developed prints in a dark room.

 

An exhibition of the work created was shown at Oriel Ynys Mon, an audio and visual projection of the work was also displayed to create a multi-sensory experience for the young people at the school.
